Barça Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
